Our poll has now closed with 14 votes and with 64% saying no parents should not be able to call their children whatever they want to.
This has generated great discussion within the class with these key points being raised,
- There's a difference between being creative and being silly.
- Parents need to realise that the child has to grow up with that name.
- If someone doesn't like their name they can just go and change it.
- A name shouldn't matter as long as there are people to support that person.
