Today for current events we were focusing on forming and justifying our own opinions.
We discussed the fact the Hawera has decided to unofficially 'adopt' the American Rugby team during their stay for the Rugby World Cup.
The question was then asked: Should Hawera 'adopt' the American Rugby team.
This created a neat discussion amongst the students with the overall opinions split roughly 50/50. Check out what we have to say below.

I think no because they might find out that we adopted them and they might think that stuff this and not come back and also that they might come and be mean and be bullies to us and I'm going to throw a question out there. Aren't we mean't to support nz and not any other country oh I almost forgot.Why are we adopting america when we could adopt another country like Japan or vietnam or even the russian fenderation or philippines!!!!! oh hi Mr.Baylis !!! :) :)
ReplyDeleteGreat sayings room 1 I think 50/50 because we're not in the same pool and its not fair to new zealand that we have adopted america and if we do adopt a team adopt a pacific island
